Dr. Mark Mielke is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Ferndale community .

Dr. Mark Mielke has been freeing people from pain in the clinic in Ferndale, WA for the past 15 years. As a Chiropractor with experience, Dr. Mielke is committed to promoting optimal health and well being of  patients.

Dr. Mielke uses a "whole person approach". This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption (which may or may not be causing symptoms at the time) and make whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function. Using this unique approach, Dr. Mielke is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.

Dear Friend,

     When I meet people in town, they usually say, "Oh yeah, I know you, you're Dr. Mark.  I've seen your ad with that picture of you and your lovely family."  Well, perhaps I should tell you a little more about that photo, and why I use it in my ads.  Let's start with me, the tall guy.  Thirty eight years ago I was a very sick 5 year old boy.  My mother was at a loss as to what to do.  I would throw up any form of food or drink except Prosobee.... a soy based drink.  I had horrible headaches to the point of rubbing the hair off my head and banging my head against the wall beside my bed.  Needless to say I was on one hand my mother's greatest joy and worst nightmare all rolled into one.  As luck would have it she was told by a friend to check out this "back doctor" guy down the street.  She had nothing to lose.  The chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then "adjusted" my spine.  the adjustment didn't hurt, it actually felt good.  Over the next two years my headaches went away and I was then able to eat everything except chocolate. Oh well, I guess you can't have it all!  It worked so well that I went to chiropractic school years later.

     My wife, Bhona, is a Chiropractor as well.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude...that's better than I did...smile.  She gave birth to all three of our children at home with no medications whatsoever.  That is a feat I cannot even hold a candle too ..... nor would I try. 

     Now for Cameron, who is the tallest of the kids in the photo.  Cameron was totally alert seconds after his birth in our home.  He was like a little turtle sticking his head out...but he would only turn his head in one direction.  What had occurred in utero was his neck had been twisted and this caused the bone in his upper neck to get "stuck" and prevented proper movement in his neck.  He gets periodic follow up adjustments to maintain his spine once a month.  He is a very healthy 17 year old now.

     The other two, Joshua 15 and Paris 12 are in excellent health and know enough to ask me to adjust them when the feel like they may be getting sick, or sometimes just to stay "tuned up."  It's strange how life is,  because now people come to see me with their own headaches.  Also they come to me with their carpal tunnel, migraines, chronic pain, neck pain, shoulder/arm pain, whiplash from car accidents, backaches, ear infections, asthma, allergies, numbness in limbs, athletic injuries, just to name a few.
